USFR is bringing together Utah’s best experts in the world of social media to help local nonprofits understand the benefits and challenges of using tweets, status updates and blog posts in their efforts to reach donors. In a dynamic panel presentation, facilitated by Mary Tull of Pathway Associates, Utah’s experts will share best practices for social media marketing. The luncheon presentation will be held in an open-format and fueled by questions and discussion from attendees. Participants will receive bonus materials to keep their organization on the track to social media success during 2010!

Pete Codella, Codella Marketing

Pete owns and operates Codella Marketing and NewsCactus, an online newsroom software provider, and co-founded the Online PR Podcast. He is the 2009 program director for the Social Media Club of SLC and chair of the Utah Social Media Awards.

Janet Frasier, Utah Museum of Natural History

Janet is the director of marketing at the Utah Museum of Natural History. She uses digital and social media engagement as a way to invite visitors into the museum experience and then take it with them when they leave.

David Goldsmith, New Philanthropy Media

David is the founder and president of New Philanthropy Media and is a recognized expert in the alignment between new technology and organizational effectiveness.

Sara Brueck Nichols, Operation Kids

Sara‘s experience includes a decade in integrated communications developing strategic media relations and grassroots campaigns. Her nonprofit work has been in the areas of youth development, literacy, advocacy for the blind and women's health initiatives

Jessica Pugh, Utah Food Bank

Jessica oversees media relations, events and major sponsorships, assists with internal and external social media communications and conducts media training for the Utah Food Bank.

Brian Seethaler, Redirect Marketing

As director of Redirect Marketing, Brian creates marketing technology and program solutions to help organizations leverage their mission into meaningful stakeholder, financial, and community support.

Mary Tull, facilitator, Pathway Associates

Mary joined Pathway Associates in 2009 and has experience in program development, nonprofit leadership, and community building. Her commitment to non-profit capacity building included serving as the Executive Director of The Leonardo, the Director of The Leonardo and Visions for Learning.
